FlyWindow Support

Get help with weather, Photo Spots, the Light planner and FlyWindow Pro.

Before you contact us

Email support@flywindow.app for product support, feedback, accessibility issues or privacy requests.

Include what you expected and what happened; your FlyWindow version and build, iOS version and iPhone model; the place and local time involved — a city or general area is usually enough; a screenshot, if it contains nothing you prefer to keep private; and the steps that led to the issue.

Do not send your Apple Account password, payment-card details or an exact home address. We do not promise a fixed response time, but we review support messages as soon as reasonably possible.

Weather results

What does “Good” mean?

A Good window means the forecast values shown for those daylight hours fit the weather limits you selected. It is not permission to launch, land or operate a drone, and it is not a complete pre-flight assessment. Check current official aviation requirements, local restrictions, conditions at the location, your aircraft and your own operating limits before each flight.

Suggested drone-profile limits are editable starting points, not manufacturer ratings. FlyWindow uses the limits you choose.

Why does FlyWindow show “No data”?

FlyWindow shows No data when a required forecast hour or field is unavailable. Missing values are not estimated and never produce a passing result. Check your connection and refresh the place. If the issue continues, email us with the place, local time and a screenshot.

The forecast does not match what I see outside

Forecasts can change and can differ from conditions at a precise location. Check the forecast age shown in the app and confirm that the selected place is correct. If the difference appears persistent, send us the nearest city or general area, local time and a screenshot so we can investigate the data shown.

Location and saved data

FlyWindow cannot use my location

On iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → FlyWindow and allow access while using the app. You can also search for a place without granting current-location access. Nearby Photo Spots require current-location permission.

FlyWindow does not request background location access. Learn more in the Privacy Policy.

Where are my places, profiles and preferences stored?

Saved places and Spots, drone profiles, selected limits, preferences and cached forecasts are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to your device and backup settings. There is no FlyWindow account to recover or delete.

Photo Spots

What is a Photo Spot?

A Spot is a photographic subject worth scouting. It is not permission to launch, land or fly there. Check access, current official sources and local requirements before visiting or operating a drone.

Free searches up to 40 km around your current location. FlyWindow Pro can search around another place. Availability and the selected radius are shown in the app.

A place or photograph is wrong

Open the Spot detail and use Report to flag a wrong place, wrong photograph or objectionable photograph. Reports contain the selected reason and the source identifiers needed to review the record; they do not include a free-text message. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Photographs retain their original author and licence information. Open a photograph in Spot detail to view its credit, Wikimedia Commons page and licence link.

Light planner

The Light planner shows sun geometry and hourly cloud cover for the selected place and day. Sun position is calculated on the device; cloud cover comes from the weather forecast. Actual light can differ from the forecast because local conditions change.
